Plan and budget for Malawi

Here is a basic plan for my next long trip. This will be to Cycle the length of Lake Malawi. Then to do some snorkeling and kayaking on the lake.

Take note there are many areas that savings could be made. However it is better to over budget when traveling in Africa. It must also be noted that anything can happen and the trip plan could change at a moments notice.

The goal of this trip is to test the snorkeling and kayaking on lake Malawi, at the same time cycling the length of the lake.

I am also looking for cycle companions. So if there are any interested persons please put in a comment to this page.

Food cost will depend on if you are going to cook or eat at restaurants.
I recommend eating one main meal a day at a restaurant Recommend taking Malaria medication. This is a tight schedule there is only on day to catch up. Thus if something goes wrong we will have to use alternative transport.
